No matter how often you have been or not been to church in your life. Cottingham Road Baptist Church is looking forward to welcoming you to come to church on

Activities for all ages

Wondering what it will be like? We will sing songs, read the bible, listen to a talk, pray.

Will it be formal? No. We are informal and relaxed. We use up to date language, modern music as well as old favourites.  there might even be videos shown.

What should Iwear? What ever makes you feel comfortable. Most people these days do not put on their “sunday best”.

How much will it cost? Nothing. comming to church is free. There will be an offering to support the work of the church and if you want you can contribute, but do not feel that you have to.

Will there be coffee? After the service we usually have coffee and chat.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Starting at 10am on Saturday 24 July, until noon, we will wash cars, provide tea and coffee and cakes, all for free.

There will also be books and cards for sale for charity.

Even if you don’t have a car to wash we’d love to see you, a warm welcome awaits!

Join the church at prayer from 7pm-11pm.

An opportunity to pray, listen and spend time in the presence of God as a community of faith, bringing the needs of the community around us to God.

12.30pm Each Wednesday during lent we will gather for prayer. Using the Midday office of the Northumbira Community and then some quite and some resting in the presence of God. Do join us.

If you are unable to come to the church but can spare 10 minutes at a lunchtime then do say the midday office found here.

During Lent each year we set aside one night for Prayer.  This year it is 26th February 7pm-11pm.

We will focus each our differently on such topics as the World, the mission of the church,  Ourselves, Our Community. There will be opportunities to pray verbally and quitely. The last hour will be fairly quite ending with the use of a compline.

It is a great way to focus on God in Lent so do come.

Sunday 14th March 10-Noon

The Church is offering a Stress Management course over a six week basis. It is run by a couple from the church with a proven track record in the field of counselling, mental health nursing and specifically bespoke stress management. It is a course of a high standard and previously has benefited members of the church and local community.
