Worship

Worshipping at CRBC

When we start to understand all that God has done for us, we can't help but respond in worship. God is the one who is worthy of all our praise, all our thanksgiving, all our adoration; He is worthy of all we are, offered joyfully and completely.

Therefore our worship aims to be heart-felt and total. We seek to worship, to ascribe worth to God, in all that we do and all that we are, relying on His Spirit at work within us to enable this to happen. Worship is a 24/7 expression of lives lived in and for God.

One aspect of this is when we come together as Christ's body to collectively rejoice in the presence of God and hear and receive His word for us today. We strive to achieve this through the following ways:

  • The use of both contemporary and traditional songs and hymns to express our love of God and the joy of His gospel.
  • Seeking to come around the Bible to learn more of God's grace and how it applies to us today.
  • Prayerful expressions of thanksgiving and adoration.
  • Intercessory prayer to uphold and seek blessing for the church fellowship, our local community and God's whole world.
  • Regularly celebrating the Lord's supper to remind us of the depth and breadth of God's love, to bind us ever closer together and to anticipate Christ's return.
  • Seeking the power and inspiration of God's Holy Spirit to challenge and equip us for service before God in His world.
  • We recognise that all are made in the image of God, whether 1 or 100 years old, and so we seek to create an atmosphere in which all can relax and be blessed by God's presence. For this reason we have a creche facility and various children's groups so they can learn about God in age appropriate ways, but we also love to worship together and make a joyful noise to our God!

You're more than welcome to come and join with us. We'd be delighted to see you.
