Kids and Youth
CRBC believe that kids of all ages are an important part of the Church and we welcome them with open arms.
It says in Matthew 19:13-15 "One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left."
Jesus welcomed the children with open arms, and so do we...! We try to offer a chance for kids to develop their own personal relationship with God, this may be through interactive Bible stories, silly games or crafts. We also believe that we can learn from children, we are called to have a child-like faith, hence the importance of services as a full church family together.
In Timothy 4:12 it says, “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” We love to support and help the youth of the Church explore their gifts and passions, be that in: leading worship and preaching, playing music, making teas and coffees, age does not stop them being able to serve if this is what they feel called to do.
What have our Kids been up to?
The youngsters have explored the story of Joseph.
Apart from his colourful robes, we made a paper chain reminding us that he was sold into slavery.
In Egypt he had troubled times. After he was wrongly thrown in prison, we saw that God had not forgotten him. God helped him to help others but it took a long, long time.
As the memory verse says: Joseph’s faith in God was rewarded.
The number of kids in the different age groups goes through seasons and so here are some of the highlights of activities we have done in the past few years....
